Gilbert Boss Guide

Gilbert is the first boss: a shotgun threat who starts slowly, punishes close range, and becomes more accurate and mobile near the end of the fight.

The community page records 1,000 HP for a solo server, 1,250 for two players, then another 100 HP for each additional player up to 3,050 at the 20-player limit.

Read the reload and the range

R8 shotgun

Gilbert fires six times before a full reload. His documented sprint begins after reloading, so a reload is not automatically a safe invitation to stand close.

Bayonet pressure

At close range he can rush into a bayonet attack or execution. Preserve a retreat path instead of circling into a wall.

Dodge

His defensive dodge briefly makes him immune to damage. Stop spending ammunition into the immunity window.

Enrage

At 250 HP he returns to 500 HP, becomes briefly invincible and gains accuracy and speed. Plan for a final phase rather than assuming the visible last quarter is the end.

A safer fight plan

  • Clear nearby regular enemies before committing to the boss area.
  • Use distance and hard cover against the shotgun instead of trading in the open.
  • Count the six-shot cycle, but expect the post-reload speed increase.
  • Pause fire during the visible dodge and brief enrage immunity.
  • Keep enough health and space for the 250-to-500 HP transition.
